Liner Notes
First off, if the name rings a distant bell, it's because her father was a fan of '40s film star Lisbeth Scott and named his daughter after the actress. The young Lisbeth Scott gravitated towards the silver screen as well. More heard than seen, though, she is best known as soloist and co-lyricist on the mega-selling soundtrack to last years' Oscar-nominated Mel Gibson epic, The Passion Of The Christ. Scott studied classical piano for years before moving out West to evolve into a full-fledged singer-songwriter and instrumentalist. In the past decade, she has managed to become one of the most sought after session singers around. She has worked with top names in film like Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, John Debney, Harry Gregson-Williams, John Powell and Mark Mothersba, among others. She sings on literally hundreds of films and TV shows, including Shreck, Agent Cody Banks, Atlantis, Christmas With The Cranks and TV themes for CSI, Touched By An Angel and Boston Public, and in commercials by BMW, Lexus, McDonalds and Coca Cola. Scott's voice will be front and center in the new Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Alien) film, Kingdom Of Heaven, which opens May 7th.

While Scott was stoking her successful career in Hollywood films, she was also intently recording her own material. Her first two self-released discs, Sirens and Climb, both won critical acclaim. By her third album, Dove, Scott was working with the Seattle Symphony and Abbey Road head engineer Peter Cobbin, whom she continues to record with. Scott has sang and co-written for Windham Hill artist Paul Schwartz, guesting on his State of Grace, Earthbound and State of Grace II - which spent 10 weeks in Billboards' Top 10.

Already drawing comparisons to international hit artists such as Basia, Enya and Sarah Mclachlan, Lisbeth Scott is poised to break out as a major solo artist with Passionate Voice. Throw on the records ethereal but catchy focus track "No One But You" or treat your listeners to the ambient and compelling album opener "Reveal," the autobiographical "All of These Years" or the poignant ballad, "Surrender." The album has received an initial boost from AAA radio via Sunday morning acoustic specialty program airplay.
